How much does a business mentor cost?

By Ivanka Menken, Strategic Mentor·Updated

With Ivanka Menken, a business mentor costs A$1,500 for a single 90-minute decision session, A$4,500 for a full Clarity Day, or A$1,500 a month for six months of 1:1 mentoring. Group mentoring is A$2,000 a month and Private Advisory is A$5,000 a month for a year. All prices are ex GST.

What does each option cost?

Every price is published, in Australian dollars, ex GST. Nothing is hidden behind a sales call.

  • Strategic Clarity Intensive: A$1,500 once, for one decision settled in 90 minutes.
  • Clarity Day: A$4,500 once, for up to three linked decisions in six hours.
  • 1:1 Mentoring: A$1,500 a month for six months, 12 fortnightly sessions of 60 minutes.
  • Clarity Shift Mastermind: A$2,000 a month per founder for ten months, in a group of eight.
  • Private Advisory: A$5,000 a month for twelve months, by application, three clients at a time.

What are you actually paying for?

You are paying for follow-through, not for advice. Most founders already know what they should do. What they lack is the time away from the fire to decide, and someone who asks at the next session whether the decision was kept.

In the six-month program every session ends with one written commitment, and a one-page scorecard of five numbers shows each month whether things are moving.

Which option fits which situation?

  • One decision is stuck: the 90-minute Strategic Clarity Intensive.
  • Several decisions are tangled together: a Clarity Day.
  • The same decisions keep slipping because firefighting wins: six months of 1:1 Mentoring.
  • You want founders at your level around the table: the Mastermind.
  • The business has outgrown a six-month program: Private Advisory.

How do you judge whether a mentor is worth it?

Judge it on what changes in the business, measured in numbers you already track. Ivanka uses five: weeks of payroll covered by cash, gross margin, the price of your newest work against a year ago, commitments kept, and your confidence from 1 to 10. If those do not move, the mentoring is not working.

What is not included?

Mentoring is not accounting, financial advice or done-for-you work. Your accountant does the accounts and your team does the work. Ivanka asks the questions, shares her own experience of building a business, and holds you to the decisions you make.

How does Ivanka work on this?

Start with the option that matches the size of the decision. If you are unsure, a 20-minute conversation is the simplest way to find out.

What else do founders ask about this?

Does Ivanka Menken charge for a first conversation?

No. The first step with Ivanka Menken is a 20-minute conversation about the decision or the pattern you are dealing with. It is not a sales pitch. At the end Ivanka Menken tells you plainly whether a 90-minute Intensive, a Clarity Day, six months of mentoring or nothing at all is the right next step for you.

Why does Ivanka Menken publish her prices?

Ivanka Menken publishes her prices because founders deciding about cash deserve to see the cost before they spend time on a call. Every option, from the A$1,500 Intensive to A$5,000 a month for Private Advisory, is listed in Australian dollars, ex GST, with what it includes, so you can compare before you talk.

Is six months of mentoring with Ivanka Menken paid monthly?

Yes. The 1:1 Mentoring with Ivanka Menken is A$1,500 a month ex GST for six months, A$9,000 in total, paid monthly through Stripe with GST added at checkout. It covers 12 fortnightly sessions of 60 minutes, short messages between sessions and the monthly one-page scorecard reviewed at months three and six.

Is a group cheaper than 1:1 mentoring with Ivanka Menken?

Not per month. The Clarity Shift Mastermind with Ivanka Menken is A$2,000 a month per founder because it combines a monthly group session of eight founders with individual check-ins each quarter. Founders choose it for the peers around the table, not to save money. The 1:1 program stays the most direct way to work on your own decisions.

What does Ivanka Menken not do for the fee?

Ivanka Menken does not do your accounts, give financial advice or take over work your team should own. Her mentoring is a thinking partnership: questions, experience from building a business across 160+ countries, and a firm hold on the decisions you commit to. Anything clinical or legal sits with the right professional.
